AI Ark review (2026): cheap verified emails, but it finds fewer than half
AI Ark is a B2B database and contact API that charges only for verified emails it finds, at about a cent each. It found an email for 42 to 45% of the LinkedIn profiles we tested and answered in several seconds, so it works best as a low-cost step in front of a broader waterfall.
pipe0 sells data enrichment and competes with AI Ark in parts of this review. We say where AI Ark is better. How we review
What we reviewed
AI Ark is a full B2B database with a web app, people and company search, and contact finding. We tested its API on one job: finding a work email from a LinkedIn profile URL.
Tested for
- LinkedIn URL to work email, through the API
Not scored here
- People and company search, and the web app
- Mobile phone lookups
- Reverse email lookup and personality analysis
Our score for AI Ark, the average of four criteria
A cheap, pay-per-result contact API whose emails are verified as they are returned. It found an email for 42 to 45% of people, and each lookup takes several seconds.
Best for
- Teams that want to pay only for emails actually found
- High-volume enrichment where a cent per email matters
- A cheap first step before a broader email waterfall
Skip it if
- You need an email for as many people on your list as possible
- An agent or a live form is waiting on each lookup
- You want to test at real speed on the free plan
The docs list the credit cost of every endpoint and include a page written for AI agents. We tested the API only, not the web app.
It found a work email for 42% of our 120-profile test set, mid-pack among 11 providers, and every email it found was also found by another provider.
One credit per verified email found, nothing on a miss, at about a cent per credit on the $49 plan and less at volume.
REST API, a hosted MCP server, a CLI and an llms.txt index. But lookups took a median of 6 seconds, and our free key was limited to 5 requests a minute.

- On the same 120 profiles, pipe0's default work email waterfall found 84%. AI Ark found 1 email that waterfall missed.
- On all 228 profiles AI Ark looked up, it found an email for 43.9%, against 41.7% for Blitz on the same people.
- The second run stopped after 111 profiles because the free credits ran out.
- Phone lookups weren't part of this test.
- Each test ran on 111 to 120 records.
- The LinkedIn profile set passed one vendor's resolvability filter, so absolute rates run higher than on a typical list. Comparisons between providers stay fair.
- Agreement is the share of results that match what other providers returned for the same person. It is a proxy for accuracy, not ground truth.

What is AI Ark?
AI Ark is a B2B data platform built on a database of more than 400 million people and 70 million companies. It finds people and companies through a web app and an API, and returns work emails and mobile numbers for them.
Its pitch is paying only for what comes back. An email lookup costs one credit when AI Ark finds an address and nothing when it doesn't, and every address is verified with BounceBan at the moment it is returned.
Mid-pack coverage
We ran AI Ark on the same 120 LinkedIn profiles as ten other providers. It found a work email for 50 of them, or 42%, which puts it in the middle of the field: Surfe found 69% and Wiza 66%, while Blitz found 38% and Hunter 19%. On the next 111 profiles it found 45%.
When AI Ark and another provider both found an email, they agreed 67% of the time, sixth of the eleven. Across all 228 profiles it looked up, AI Ark found slightly more than Blitz on the same people, 43.9% against 41.7%.
For comparison, pipe0's default work email waterfall found an email for 101 of the same 120 people, 84%. AI Ark found one email that waterfall missed, and none that all ten other providers missed.
Seconds, not milliseconds
AI Ark checks each email while you wait, and that shows in the response time. Lookups took a median of 6 seconds across all 228 profiles, and the slowest tenth took 31 seconds or more. Lookups that found nothing were the slowest, at a median of 16 seconds, against 4 seconds for those that found an email.
That is fine for a batch job, but slow when an agent or a live form is waiting on each lookup. Blitz answered the same kind of lookup in 0.3 seconds.
The free plan adds its own limit. Our free key allowed 5 requests a minute, not the 5 per second the docs describe, so a test of a few hundred profiles takes hours.
What it costs
There is a free plan with 100 credits a month and a $49 plan with 5,000 credits a month. AI Ark says plans above 30,000 credits a month cost $2 to $4 per 1,000 credits. A verified email costs one credit and a mobile number five, both charged only when one is found.
That makes AI Ark one of the cheapest ways to buy an email: about a cent each on the $49 plan. Because misses are free, the cost per email found is the same as the cost per lookup. People search and reverse email lookup are billed differently, per result returned and per request.
AI Ark and pipe0
pipe0 competes with AI Ark and doesn't use it in its waterfalls. We tested it on the same inputs as every other provider in our benchmark.
Because AI Ark only charges for emails it finds, it can sit in front of a waterfall without wasting money on misses. In our test, running AI Ark first and sending only the people it missed through pipe0 found 102 of 120, one more than pipe0 alone, and cut pipe0 spend by about 40%. The 50 emails AI Ark found cost about 50 cents.
Who should buy AI Ark
Buy AI Ark if you want verified emails at about a cent each, pay only for what you get, and run your lookups in batches.
Look elsewhere if you need an email for as many people on your list as possible, or if an agent or a live form waits on each lookup.
AI Ark pros and cons
Pros
Pay only for emails found
An email lookup costs 1 credit when AI Ark finds a verified address and nothing when it doesn't. Our 100 free credits bought exactly 100 emails.
Cheap per email
At $49 for 5,000 credits, a found email costs about a cent. AI Ark says plans above 30,000 credits a month cost $2 to $4 per 1,000.
Verified as it returns
Every email is checked with BounceBan at the moment it is returned. 98 of the 100 we got were verified directly with the mail server.
Many ways in
A REST API, a hosted MCP server, an open-source CLI, Clay templates, and an llms.txt index for AI agents.
Cons
Finds fewer than half
From 120 LinkedIn profiles, AI Ark found a work email for 42%. A waterfall of four providers found 84% of the same people.
Adds almost nothing to a waterfall
AI Ark found 1 email in 120 that pipe0's default waterfall missed, and none that the other 10 providers we tested all missed.
Slow lookups
Lookups took a median of 6 seconds and up to 31 seconds for the slowest tenth. Misses took longest, at a median of 16 seconds.
A tight free tier
Our free key was limited to 5 requests a minute, not the 5 per second the docs describe, and the free plan has 100 credits a month.

Frequently asked questions
How much does AI Ark cost?
There is a free plan with 100 credits a month and a $49 plan with 5,000 credits a month; larger plans are custom. A verified email costs 1 credit and is only charged when one is found, so an email costs about a cent on the $49 plan.
How good is AI Ark's email data?
In our test of 120 LinkedIn profiles, AI Ark found a work email for 42%, and for 45% of the next 111. When another provider also found one, they agreed 67% of the time, mid-pack among the 11 providers we tested.
How fast is the AI Ark API?
Email lookups took a median of 6 seconds in our test, and up to 31 seconds for the slowest tenth, because each email is verified during the request. Lookups that found nothing took longest.
Does AI Ark have an MCP server?
Yes. AI Ark hosts an MCP server at api.ai-ark.com/v1/mcp that gives agents API access and documentation search. You pass your API key in the URL.
AI Ark or pipe0: which should I choose?
AI Ark is cheaper per email found, but it found an email for 42% of the profiles where pipe0's waterfall found 84%, and it added 1 email in 120 to that waterfall. Use AI Ark if price per email matters most; use pipe0 if coverage does.
