  • On personal email, Forager and Wiza tied for the most found, 52% each.
  • Samples are small, 150 records per test, so treat a few points of difference as noise.
  • The LinkedIn profile set passed one vendor's resolvability filter, so absolute rates run higher than on a typical list. Comparisons between providers stay fair.
  • Agreement is the share of results that match what other providers returned for the same person. It is a proxy for accuracy, not ground truth.

What is Forager?

Forager is B2B data infrastructure: people, company, and job data for platforms, AI agents, and waterfall tools rather than for salespeople clicking through an app. It says it holds more than 850 million person and company records and 200 million mobile numbers, and it recrawls them about every 2.5 weeks. You can query it by API, or take the whole dataset as a feed into S3, Google Cloud Storage, or Snowflake.

Speed first

Forager's defining number in our benchmark is speed. It answered phone lookups from LinkedIn profiles in a median of 80 milliseconds. Wiza took 3 seconds on the same profiles and Amplemarket 18.6. For a product where a user is waiting, or an agent making hundreds of lookups in a row, that difference is the whole experience.

Speed doesn't come at the cost of accuracy. When Forager and Amplemarket both found a mobile number for the same person, they matched 50 times out of 58, and with Surfe 56 out of 65. Its coverage sits in the middle: it found a mobile for 43% of 150 profiles, behind the providers that run their own waterfalls.

On personal email it was among the best. From the same set of profiles, Forager and Wiza tied for the most consumer addresses found, at 52% each. Its personal email endpoint only returns webmail addresses like Gmail and Outlook, which is usually what a personal email search is for anyway.

What it costs

Plans start at $50 a month for 2,250 credits, then $100 for 5,250 and $250 for 16,200, with 10% off billed annually. A phone number costs 15 credits and an email 5, which Forager itself shows as 21 to 33 cents per mobile and 7 to 11 cents per email. Monthly credits roll over and plans cancel anytime.

The docs leave some questions open. Email lookups that find nothing are free, but the docs don't say whether the same is true for phones, and rate limits aren't published.

Forager for developers

Most endpoints are synchronous and very fast; work email lookups run as async jobs you poll, with a webhook for bulk requests. There is no MCP server, so agents reach Forager through its REST API or through a tool that wraps it.

Forager and pipe0

We buy data from Forager. It is part of pipe0's default personal email waterfall, chosen for the personal email result above, and its speed makes it a good fit wherever an agent is waiting on the answer.

Who should buy Forager

Buy Forager if you are building a product or an agent that needs contact data in real time, or if you want bulk people and company data delivered as a feed.

Look elsewhere if you want an MCP server, a prospecting app for your sales team, or the highest mobile coverage from a single provider.

Forager pros and cons
