Disclosure: pipe0 neither competes with nor buys from Bouncer.

> Bouncer got 93 of 100 labelled addresses right in our test and gave definite answers on accept-all work domains where budget verifiers hedge. It costs about half of ZeroBounce, credits never expire, and unknowns are free. It passed one fake address as valid with full confidence.

**Verdict: 4.1/5.** Nearly as accurate as the best verifiers we tested on work domains, at about half ZeroBounce's price, with credits that never expire. One fake passed as valid with a perfect score keeps it out of first place.

| Criterion | Score | Why |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Ease of use | 4.5/5 | Upload a list or call one endpoint. 100 free credits, four plain statuses with a reason, and about 25 native integrations. |
| Data quality | 3.8/5 | 93 of 100 right and it resolved accept-all work domains, but it passed a made-up address as deliverable with a perfect score, the one mistake a verifier exists to prevent. |
| Pricing value | 4.2/5 | 0.6 cents a check at 10,000 and 0.2 cents at a million, about half of ZeroBounce. Credits never expire and unknowns are free. |
| API and agent access | 4.0/5 | An official hosted MCP server with OAuth and real-time and batch APIs, but 1,000 requests a minute and only a Java SDK. |
| **Overall** (mean) | **4.1/5** | |

**Best for:**

- Outbound teams that want definite answers on work domains for less
- Buying credits once and using them over months or years
- Agents that need to verify an address before writing it anywhere

**Skip it if:**

- A single fake passed as valid is unacceptable for your domain
- You need SOC 2 or ISO 27001 paperwork
- You verify huge consumer lists where the cheapest check wins

**Price:** from $8 for 1,000 checks, pay as you go. Free plan available.

## Bouncer in our benchmark

pipe0 ran the same labelled addresses through every verifier it tests and scored each verdict against the known answer (October 2026).

### Verifier scorecard (run 20261017T173041Z-245c)

100 labelled addresses, 50 known valid and 50 known invalid. Catch-all and unknown count as undetermined, never as wrong.

| Verifier | Accuracy | Real confirmed | Fakes caught | Fakes passed as valid | Real called invalid | Undetermined | Median time |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Bouncer | 93% | 47/50 | 46/50 | 1 | 2 | 4 | 0.5 s |
| LeadMagic | 97% | 49/50 | 48/50 | 0 | 1 | 2 | 2.0 s |
| ZeroBounce | 96% | 47/50 | 49/50 | 0 | 2 | 2 | 0.3 s |
| MixRank | 93% | 47/50 | 46/50 | 0 | 3 | 4 | 1.3 s |
| Emailable | 70% | 36/50 | 34/50 | 1 | 1 | 28 | 0.3 s |
| MillionVerifier | 66% | 31/50 | 35/50 | 1 | 1 | 32 | 0.7 s |

### How often Bouncer agrees with other providers

Email verification, 100 labelled addresses (run 20261017T173041Z-245c).

- ZeroBounce (premium): Bouncer and ZeroBounce returned the same verdict for 95 of 100 addresses (95%).
- MixRank: Bouncer and MixRank returned the same verdict for 92 of 100 addresses (92%).
- MillionVerifier (low-cost): Bouncer and MillionVerifier returned the same verdict for 67 of 100 addresses (67%).

Bouncer's verdicts closely track the premium verifier: it agreed with ZeroBounce on 95 of 100 addresses and with the budget verifier on 67, but its one confident miss was the costliest kind.

- Every verifier got all 20 real Gmail addresses, all 20 fake Gmail and Outlook addresses, and all 10 addresses at nonexistent domains right, except one real Gmail address Bouncer marked risky. The differences are on work domains.
- Bouncer's one fake passed as valid was a random mailbox at hubspot.com. Emailable passed the same address; the other four rejected it.
- One real address was rejected by every verifier. A sign-in 45 days earlier proves the Google account then, not the address today, so it may be a labelling error.
- Median times are from uncached calls, but not all from the same run: Bouncer and Emailable in October 17 runs, the others on October 6.
- Each test ran on 100 records.
- Known-valid addresses are pipe0 users with a live Google sign-in in the last 45 days; known-invalid addresses are synthetic, with no person behind them.
- Catch-all, unknown, and risky verdicts count as undetermined, never as wrong. Only a fake passed as valid or a real address called invalid is an error.

## What is Bouncer? [#what-is-bouncer]

Bouncer checks whether an email address will accept mail before you send to
it. It started in 2017 in Wroclaw, Poland, keeps its data in EU data centers,
and sells mostly to marketing and outbound teams through list uploads, an
API, and about 25 integrations, from HubSpot and Mailchimp to lemlist and
Make.

Each check returns one of four statuses (deliverable, risky, undeliverable,
or unknown) with a reason and a 0 to 100 score. Around verification, Bouncer
sells a deliverability kit, a signup form widget, and automatic cleaning of
CRM contacts.

## How it did in our test [#how-it-did-in-our-test]

We ran 100 labelled addresses through six verifiers. Fifty were real: pipe0
users who had signed in with Google in the previous 45 days, 30 on work
domains and 20 on Gmail. Fifty were fake: random mailboxes at Gmail, Outlook,
and well-known company domains, and addresses at domains that don't exist.

Bouncer got 93 right, tied with MixRank and behind LeadMagic (97) and
ZeroBounce (96). It confirmed 47 of the 50 real addresses and caught 46 of
the 50 fakes.

Its strength is work domains. Bouncer flagged 17 of our 30 real work domains
as accept-all, the kind of server that takes mail for any address, and
still confirmed 16 of those addresses as deliverable. MillionVerifier and
Emailable returned catch-all for most of the same addresses, which leaves
the decision to you.

Its weak spot is one answer. A random mailbox we made up at hubspot.com came
back deliverable with a perfect score of 100. LeadMagic, ZeroBounce, MixRank,
and MillionVerifier all rejected it. Sending only to Bouncer's valid results
would have bounced once in our test; with ZeroBounce or LeadMagic, never.

It also rejected two real addresses, one of which every verifier rejected,
and marked one real Gmail address risky where every other verifier said
valid.

## What it costs [#what-it-costs]

Pay-as-you-go starts at $8 for 1,000 checks and falls to $60 for 10,000 and
$2,000 for a million. That is about half of ZeroBounce ($129 for 10,000) and
more than MillionVerifier ($39). A monthly subscription takes 20% off.

Credits never expire, and unknown results and duplicates are free. New
accounts get 100 credits.

## Bouncer for developers and agents [#bouncer-for-developers-and-agents]

The real-time API takes one GET per address and allows 1,000 requests a
minute. It answered in a median of half a second in our test, with nothing
left unknown. A batch API takes up to 500,000 addresses per job. The only
official SDK is for Java, so most teams call the REST API directly.

Bouncer runs an official MCP server at `api.usebouncer.com/mcp` with OAuth
sign-in, documented for Claude and ChatGPT, so an agent can verify an address
before it writes it to a CRM or a sequence.

## Who should buy Bouncer [#who-should-buy-bouncer]

Buy Bouncer if you send to work addresses and want answers on accept-all
domains without paying ZeroBounce prices, especially if you buy credits in
bulk and use them slowly. It is the best value of the verifiers we tested on
work domains.

Pick [ZeroBounce](/reviews/zerobounce) or [LeadMagic](/reviews/leadmagic)
instead if a single fake passed as valid costs you more than the price
difference, or if you need SOC 2 paperwork. For consumer lists,
[MillionVerifier](/reviews/millionverifier) is just as accurate and
cheaper.

## Bouncer pros and cons

### Pros

- **Answers on accept-all work domains.** Bouncer flagged 17 of 30 real work domains as accept-all and still confirmed 16 of those addresses. A budget verifier called 18 of the same 30 catch-all.
- **Close to the top on accuracy.** 93 of 100 labelled addresses right: 47 of 50 real ones confirmed and 46 of 50 fakes caught, with only 4 verdicts left undetermined.
- **Fair billing.** Credits never expire, unknown results and duplicates are free, and a check costs about half of what ZeroBounce charges.
- **Ready for agents.** An official MCP server at api.usebouncer.com/mcp with OAuth sign-in, at no extra cost, plus a median of 0.5 seconds per check in our test.

### Cons

- **One fake passed with full confidence.** A random mailbox at hubspot.com came back deliverable with a score of 100. Every other verifier but one rejected it, so that send would have bounced.
- **Occasional odd rejections.** It rejected 2 of our 50 real addresses and marked one real Gmail address risky. One of the rejections every verifier shared.
- **No security certifications.** Bouncer stores data in EU AWS data centers and publishes a DPA, but makes no SOC 2 or ISO 27001 claim.
- **Only one SDK.** The API is simple REST, but the only official library is for Java.

## Bouncer alternatives

- [ZeroBounce](https://pipe0.com/reviews/zerobounce): You want no fake passed as valid and SOC 2 paperwork, and can pay about twice as much per check.
- [LeadMagic](https://pipe0.com/reviews/leadmagic): You want the most accurate verdicts we measured and don't mind 2 seconds a check.
- [MillionVerifier](https://pipe0.com/reviews/millionverifier): Your lists are mostly consumer addresses and price per check decides.

## FAQ

### Is Bouncer accurate?

In our test it got 93 of 100 labelled addresses right: 47 of 50 real addresses confirmed and 46 of 50 fakes caught. Only LeadMagic and ZeroBounce scored higher. It passed one fake address as valid.

### How much does Bouncer cost?

Pay-as-you-go starts at $8 for 1,000 checks. 10,000 checks cost $60 and a million cost $2,000. A monthly subscription takes 20% off. Credits never expire, and unknown results are free.
